The Senior Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in providing high quality analysis documentation essential for project to establish precise scope definition but also offering robust support and guidance to business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. The objective is to ensure that these stakeholders attain their business objectives by facilitating the successful implementation of impactful solutions driving business benefit.

What will the role look like?

  • Requirement Elicitation and Analysis:
    • Lead in defining and clarifying the scope and project objectives with stakeholders.
    • Lead requirements gathering efforts, collaborating closely with stakeholders to identify and document business needs, objectives, and constraints.
    • Analyse complex business problems and processes, translating them into clear and actionable requirements that align with organisational goals.
  • Business Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process optimisation and enhancement, driving efficiency and effectiveness within the organisation.
    • Recommend and implement process improvements, using industry best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Solution Design and Documentation:
    • Develop comprehensive analysis documentation, including use cases and process flows, to guide solution design and development.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Establish strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including business users, subject matter experts, project managers, and IT teams.
    • Communicate effectively, manage expectations, and facilitate workshops and meetings to gather input and validate requirements.
  • Leadership and mentoring:
    • Lead and coordinate analysis workstreams, ensuring that tasks are executed according to project plans and timelines.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior business analysts, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance:
    • Define and execute appropriate test strategies, ensuring that all aspects of the solution are thoroughly evaluated against business requirements.
    • Collaboration with the project team and users to confirm that the solution meets quality standards before deployment.
  • Change Management and User Adoption:
    • Assist in developing change management approaches to ensure smooth transition and adoption of new systems or processes within the organisation.
  • Continuous Learning and Industry Trends:
    • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to business analysis.
    • Apply new knowledge to enhance analysis methodologies and drive innovation within the organisation.

    Knowledge and Skillset:

    • Experience in business analysis, with a demonstrated progression of responsibilities and successful project outcomes.
    • Knowledge of industry-standard methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Evidence of exposure to the full project lifecycle on multiple projects
    • Experience of working on complex projects and transformation programmes involving broad-based business change
    • Experience of facilitating workshops with the business, utilising a variety of business analysis methods
    • Experience of working closely with Project Management to enable effective resource, task and time management for BA deliverables.
    • Experience of working under uncertain environments and against tight deadlines
    • Experience of producing high quality outputs at various levels and for different audiences
    • Ability to flex working hours to suit multiple time zones dependant on project.
    • Desirable – Construction Industry experience
    • Desirable – Professional Analysis qualifications – ISEB / BCS BA Diploma, IIBA CBAP

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design and develop electrical systems for machinery applications, including motor control circuits, fan systems, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
    • Conduct thorough assessments of power system harmonics and implement mitigation measures as necessary to ensure system reliability and performance.
    • Perform comprehensive testing and validation of electrical systems to verify compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards such as NEC and UL 508.
    • Provide technical expertise in the selection and specification of motors, fans, VFDs, and other electrical equipment to meet project requirements.
    • Conduct detailed analyses of electrical components and systems to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
    • Prepare detailed technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, to support the design and implementation process.
    • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in electrical engineering and HVAC systems design.
    • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and support as needed.

    Background Required

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power systems design.
    • Proficiency in electrical design software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.
    • Strong understanding of motors, fans, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
    • Understanding of power system harmonics, measurement techniques, and mitigation strategies.
    • Knowledge of control panel design meeting NEC and UL 508.

    The Job:

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Façade Designer/ Draughtsperson to join our Clients Façade Consultancy Team. You will report directly to the Director, Senior Associate, and other members of the Senior Team.

    The company is seeking a hardworking, highly motivated individual who has a strong interest in building façades, collaboration, teamwork and who wants to be a part of a company with a history of project success dating back more than 25 years.

    Responsibilities

    • Produce details of façade systems based on architectural sketches.
    • Produce GA drawings, detail drawings and material schedules.
    • Review drawings. Redraft drawings following comments. Work with the Engineering Team.
    • Edit specifications to clarify technical requirements of the design.
    • Maintain internal drawing document control system.
    • Use data storage and retrieval systems on projects to download and upload project data.
    • Carry out/ assist with site visits, site surveys on new build projects, recladding and renovation projects and for the Survey & Investigation team.
    • Report Writing in relation to site visit/survey – compile well written text with suitable images.

    Requirements

    • 5 Years experience within the Façade industry or related field
    • Degree in Architectural Technology preferred but other qualifications such HNC or HND or degree level in an engineering subject will be considered
    • Familiarity with façade system designs, fabrication & assembly techniques
    • Experience of liaising with team members of all levels within an organisation
    • Working within a busy office and managing a busy & varied workload
    • Proficient in AutoCAD
    • Excellent organisational ability & time management.
    • A meticulous eye for detail and a passion for precision.
    • Continuously refine and improve own performance and curtain wall designs to meet evolving project requirements.
    • Good communication skills for effective collaboration within cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to work under pressure, handle a varied workload and keep to tight deadlines
    • Must be able to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
    • Ability to manage & prioritise the workload.
    • Must be flexible to adapt to change.
    • Demonstrates confidentiality when dealing with clients.
