Our client is looking for a proactive Senior Environment and Consent Consultant to support the successful delivery of various client projects.

You will play a pivotal role, supporting the post planning consent and construction phases – project managing and providing site based environmental assurance services.

With solid, proven experience in a similar multi-environmental disciplinary role, you’ll have strong project management and onsite support skills. An excellent communicator, you’ll have great interpersonal skills and the ability to build successful client relationships. Self-motivated and commercially minded, you’ll be committed to delivering outstanding support to your colleagues and clients.

The Role:
As a Geo-Environmental Engineer, you will have the chance to get involved in an exciting range of multidisciplinary road and rail, industrial, residential, commercial and leisure developments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing geo-environmental advice to internal project teams and external clients and help manage the geo-environmental team workload across the south.

  • Providing technical contaminated land assessment and solutions.
  • Geo-environmental site investigation and assessment.
  • Site remediation and validation.
  • Contract management.
  • Planning and regulatory liaison.
  • Creating cost effective solutions.

Requirements:

  • Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Geology/Earth Sciences or related degree subjects are required.
  • An MSc in Environmental Engineering or similar related subject would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Experience in undertaking, scoping and reviewing Preliminary Risk Assessments and Intrusive Ground investigations including understanding of currently available ground investigation, sampling and laboratory analysis techniques;
  • High level of understanding of contaminated land legislation and planning regime to provide geo-environmental ground investigation scoping and generic risk assessment;
  • A good understanding of geology, ground models and geotechnical engineering to allow geo-environmental solutions which are integrated and work well with other engineering requirements (e.g. soil improvement, earthworks, foundations)
  • Interpretative report writing and reviewing including a good understanding of geology, ground models, and geotechnical engineering/soil behaviours with support and mentoring from geotechnical engineers within the team;
  • A thorough understanding of generic and detailed quantitative risk assessment for human health, ground gases and volatiles and Controlled Water, including best practice guidance such as CLR11 and appropriate assessment tools such as CLEA, ConSim, and the Environment Agency’s Remedial Target Methodology
  • A good understanding of existing and emerging remedial options, experience in compiling options appraisal reports and remedial strategies and method statements. An ability to provide technical sound and commercially focussed proposals with a clear understanding of the clients requirements and value engineering;
  • Experience in liaising with Regulators and Local Authorities in respect to the discharge of contaminated land conditions and Part IIA land inspection
  • Ability to deliver projects and work within a multi-disciplinary consultancy, with awareness of structural, civil and transport capabilities in the wider firm.
  • A good understanding of geotechnical engineering is preferred but not essential.

The overall purpose of this job is to be responsible for the operational performance and overall lettings strategy at the site ensuring maximum occupancy as well as understanding and always promoting the brand and product and ensure the same of the on-site team. Manage the lettings of all stock and be responsible for the overall delivery of the entire Built to Rent product and operation.

This role would suit a leasing professional or a lettings negotiator from a property background.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Weekly report on Enquires, Viewings, Offer ratio
  • Agile Marketing plan which will be adapted based on incoming enquires and tenant profiles
  • Engaging with Yeildstar on a weekly bases
  • Viewings and enquiry handling, reaching out to relevant onsite team for assistance
  • Understand the demographic and area and being able advise and sell the units on this bases Have a thorough and detailed knowledge of the local market including prevailing rental conditions and competitors.
  • Attend regional management and site meetings and attend Client core group meetings as required.

First point of contact for the site duties include:

  • Ensure performance targets are met in respect of viewings, lets, rent levels and voids
  • Ensure compliance of EPC legislation prior to and during marketing
  • Ensure compliance of Gas Safety legislation – where applicable
  • Ensure compliance with the Housing Act 2004 particularly in relation to Deposit Protection
  • Be ultimately and completely responsible for managing the entire void process
  • ensuring that any works required are completed as promptly as possible to
  • ensure quick re-letting and low void costs.
  • Ensure that all units are marketed promptly and effectively upon the receipt of a termination notice from a resident
  • Carry out regular audits within the software to ensure complete compliance with legislation and to assess performance targets
  • Capture and record all feedback on viewings – ensuring a weekly report is
  • provided to Head of BTR Operations. Ensure complete accuracy in producing all tenancy related paperwork
  • Understand, adhere to and promote all appropriate regulatory requirements in respect of property let within the private rental sector
  • Action diary reminders daily and audit the Lettings Consultants diary reminders for the same
  • Build relationships with the tenancy team as well as The General Manager and assist at times when support may be required
  • Establishing and maintain an ongoing, good working relationship with third party suppliers.
  • Have an understanding of client strategies relative to all facets of the portfolio
  • Have a thorough understanding of Built to Rent as a resident offer and how the delivery of operations differs from PRS
  • Ensure that the tenant journey is seamless from enquiry all the way through to a mutually convenient check in.
  • Produce regular reports are provided to Head of BTR Operations on a regular basis

  • Income Vs Expenditure

Salary: £24,000 Basic, £47,000
Hours: 9-5.30pm Monday to Friday with occasional weekends (37.5 hours a week)
