THE ROLE

My client is seeking a Project Management Director to join them in my client’s offices in central London.

You will work on projects for the construction of major building projects and as a minimum you will need to have project managed large commercial and mixed use construction.

You will work on building projects at all RIBA stages of the project from feasibility through to completetion of the project on site.

You will lead a team of project managers, also helping less experienced candidates through the APC to become chartered with the RICS.

THE COMPANY

My client is a long established large firm of construction consultants providing project management, cost management and similar services mainly to private sector clients.

They have offices in the UK and abroad.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Project Manager at Associate, Associate Director or Director level currently and be working for another firm of construction consultants or PQS.

You will have a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying, Civil / Structural Engineering, Construction Project Management or similar built environment subject and you will need to be chartered with the RICS or similar i.e. CIOB, RIBA, MICE etc.

You should have a good number of years experience of running various high value large construction projects.

You must have excellent communication skills and client facing skills with the confidence to head up meetings, deal with people at all levels as well as supervising less experienced project managers.

Experience of all stages of construction project management is essential.

Some experience of business development / networking would be useful.

You should also be able to use MS Office along with MS Project.

Salary will be in the region of £80000 to £100000 per annum plus pension, professional fees, discretionary bonus etc. along with excellent prospects for promotion to Partner level.

Structural Engineer / Dratfsman

McGinley Support Services are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer / Draftsman, with excellent mathematical; IT and analytical skills, for a permanent position based in High Wycombe.

The Structural Engineer will provide structural duties to a number of projects. Will establish the level and survey control for contracts and set out detailed works per the contract drawings, ensuring that checks are made regularly.

Responsibilities:

* Prepare report, designs and drawings

* Make calculations about pressures, loads and stresses

* Ensure that all drawings and work instructions are kept up to date

* Administer contracts and manage projects

* Consider the strengh of construction materials and select appropriately

* Analyse configurations of the basic components of a structure

* Ensure the quality of products and services is maintained and make improvements to the processes where necessary

* Carry out regular programme monitoring

Requirements (Essential):

* Degree in Structural Engineering

* Bachelor of science in Engineering or Architecture

* 3-4+ years experience as a Structural Engineer / Draftsman

* Expert in project management

* Proficient in the use of AtuoCAD and MS Office

* Ability to produce clear and informative production drawings and technical information

* Ability to liaise with professionals from other disciplines

* Able to work under [ressure and meet tight dealines

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

* SMSTS

* CSCS Card

* Cable avoidance training

* First aid training

* NEBOSH or IOSH
