This is a technical and engagement role focused on supporting the operations at the three Manufacturing Plants based around the Midlands Region. The purpose of the role is to ensure the factories are always operating as effectively as possible from an IT perspective. Due to the nature of the business the role covers, a varied skill set is required. Travel will be expected, as well as the ability to support users and systems at multiple locations.

What do you have to achieve:

  • Implementation:
    • Understand the process and requirements for projects from simple to complex proposals
    • Understand and contribute to the creation of detailed design documentation to satisfy requirements
    • Liaison with business and suppliers with a view to providing regular communications on project updates
    • Assist in implementing solutions in line with approved designs and Infrastructure documentation
    • Support the design and development of infrastructure in compliance with IT Group standards
    • Delivery against activities in project plans, reporting progress
    • Understand risks and ensure that any problems are identified at the earliest opportunity and that solutions are identified and implemented, in line with change control processes
    • Update all existing documentation / systems ensuring 100% accuracy
  • Business User Support:
    • To provide support for the Infrastructure / Manufacturing systems, Business / User applications and user requests, resolving these where possible, or passing to the relevant teams to achieve agreed SLAs
    • Work with operational support teams to resolve complex support issues, engaging with 3rd parties as required
    • Own the problem through life cycle
    • To help provide an efficient, cost effective and customer focused support service
    • To suggest and contribute to service improvements and initiatives
    • Update all documentation / systems ensuring 100% accuracy
  • Infrastructure / Manufacturing:
    • Update all documentation ensuring 100% accuracy
    • Complete IT reviews against implementations
    • Assist in delivering complex infrastructure / manufacturing projects to a standard agreed and approved by management
    • Work with operational support teams to resolve complex support issues, engaging with 3rd parties as required
    • Engage in operational readiness testing and produce reports
    • Ensure build standards are up to date and fit for purpose

Technical Knowledge

  • A knowledge of the following: MS Server OS (all), MS Active Directory, Security standards and controls, WAN Technology, Backup Solutions, Sharepoint, Teams
  • A good knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of enterprise products
  • An understanding of Core Infrastructure (hardware, operating systems, local area networks etc.)
  • Some IP networking skills. Inc switches and Wireless configurations
  • Some knowledge of Manufacturing systems is preferred

Key Skills & Competencies

  • A knowledge of the ITIL framework
  • Analytical skills, being able to quickly acquire an understanding of a problem or situation and identify practical alternatives weighing up the benefits in order to recommend a solution
  • Ability to understand requirements and then to communicate complex systems to non-technical audience
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the business
  • Ability to work to fixed and often challenging deadlines
  • Strong service ethic and excellent communication skills
  • Able to provide and apply best practice techniques (Ideally gained from large organisation experience)
  • Ability and experience of working across diversity of IT functions – their differing emphasis as regards needs and requirements.
  • Exposure to working within complex infrastructure environments

Project Planner

Working for a main contractor’s water division, developing and leading work programmes based on the new AMP8 projects.

Location: – Cardiff

Salary: – £60,000 – £65,000 basic + Car + Package

Role Description:

The Resolute Group are working in partnership with one of the key delivery partners for Welsh Water, delivering a 5-year framework for the upgrades to the water network. Looking for additional Planning support to help create and deliver the programmes via P6.

As a Project Planner, you report directly to the Contract Manager and ensure that individual project programmes are developed, maintained and reported in line with clients’ requirements. You will be responsible for collating and reporting activity data to support the commercial team, as well as key performance data for quality management purposes.

This is a perfect role for a P6 Planner in the infrastructure sector looking for stability and development over the next 5 years in the South Wales region.

Day to Day duties will vary but could include:

  • Develop strong working relationships with clients, consultants, sub-contractors and Internal stakeholders.
  • Take responsibility for coordinating all third-party constraints, design, procurement and construction information into the programme
  • Make project team members at all relevant levels aware of programme risks, key issues and solutions in a proactive manner.
  • Experience of working on Primavera P6 and the Microsoft Office suite
  • Able to facilitate and lead on the development of schedules with stakeholders at all levels
  • Effective communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-functional team.

Working on a hybrid basis, with flexible working hours as long as the project outputs are achieved. The schedule is designed around dropping the kids at school, picking them up at home, or attending appointments such as the dentist. Typically, you work 2-3 days at home and 2-3 days in the office.

Qualifications:

  • Experience on site is key developing up from a Site Engineer into Planning is the preferred background. Understanding the drawings and technical specifications makes a more efficient programme of work.
  • Engineering Qualification can be HNC / HND or a degree in an Engineering-based subject.
  • Knowledge of P6 software.

Role Description

The Resolute Group are working in Partnership with a Tier1 contractor working on HS2 and delivering a section of works in the Birmingham region. We need a Methods Engineer to support the site teams when delivering Temporary works packages.

ith a focus on delivering high-quality and safe work methods within the HS2 project standards. Ensuring the following tasks are clearly defined:

  • Temporary Works requirements
  • lifting plans related to any lifting operation
  • Design of the lifting equipment requirements
  • Technical Scope of Works with the construction teams
  • Review and validate the elaboration of drawings

Day-to-day duties will vary but could include:

  • Produing Method Statements and Risk Assessments always taking care of their feasibility and clearing any risk occurrence.
  • Takes care of the safety feedbacks of the construction teams and revises the procedures accordingly.
  • Prepares and raises Temporary Works Briefs, following up to ensure timely implementation.
  • Carries out on-site safety visits, reports any discrepancy with the procedures to the construction teams and writes reports accordingly
  • Ensures the perfect understanding of the input and requirements defined by the Temporary Works Coordinator as well as the design and construction teams.
  • Ability to read design documents and interrogate temporary works designers accordingly
  • Identifies technical problems and proposes technical solutions
  • Maintains a comprehensive filing system of quality records aligned to the Project Quality Handover requirements.

This is a site-based role, interacting between all the stakeholders in the process, as such you will be in the office or at the site 3 days a week as standard with 2 days from home. This may change depending on the project requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural engineering or related subject.
  • Experience with Temporary works, be it Designing, Coordinating or interfacing.
