Construction Supervisor – London Underground

McGinley are looking for a Construction Supervisor with London Underground experience to support the delivery of a portfolio of works on a contract basis. They will need to have a good knowledge of Track Standards and associated considerations (signals, power, ultrasonics). This will role will be mainly nights however days may be necessary depending on requirements at the time. London Underground experience is a must.

Duties

* Ensure the correct safety documentation is in place prior to commencement of works

* Ensure safety documentation is followed throughout delivery

* Proactively manage safety on site by challenging rail unsafe acts or processes and completing Safety Tours and Planned General Inspections

* Review and comment on Safe Systems of Work, Task Briefing Sheets and Risk Assessments

* Determine and coordinate the supply, delivery and storage of tools, plant and equipment to service a work site

* Determine and coordinate the supply, delivery and storage of materials to service a work site

* Monitor delivery/installation ensuring that it meets London Undergrounds designs, specifications, standards and quality requirements

* Liaise with Construction Team on scopes of works/design and determine most efficient and effective method and programme of delivery

* Liaise with stakeholders and conduct pre site surveys and post work inspections

* Brief PWT/SPC on scope works, pertinent safety and technical bulletins

* Communicate site progress and any pertinent issues that need to be addressed or are obstructing delivery to the Project team.

* They will be involved with pre-site surveys and work site handback walks as required.

* They will be required to participate in safety briefings, as well as brief site PWT/SPC on a daily basis, and whole gangs as required.

Salary: £38,000 – £40,000 w/ Van and Fuel Card

Do you have experience working with Fire and Security systems? If so, this could be the role for you!

Daniel Owen are recruiting a Fire and Security Operative to join a leading Social Housing Contractor in their Fire and Security team, based in Rochford.

You will form part of a dedicated team responsible for carrying out routine maintenance, repairs and installation on life safety and security systems such as Fire Alarms, Emergency Lighting, CCTV, warden call and door access, ensuring the properties are safe and compliant.

Fire and Security Operative Role:

  • Carrying out the servicing, remedial works and installation of fire alarms, extinguishers and security systems, including warden call
  • Maintaining systems including fire alarms, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, fire shutters and curtains to ensure safe and compliant properties
  • Resolving problems or setting into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed

Fire and Security Operative Requirements:

  • 18th Edition
  • Level 3 Installation Minimum
  • FIA (Preferred)
  • FIA industry standard qualifications, Electrical 18th Edition wiring regulations, Safe Isolation, Small Works Certificate, currently undertaking the qualifications or prepared to undertake these qualifications with the support of my Client.
  • Experience of undertaking a similar role, working in a fire and security environment
  • Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
  • Knowledge of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
