An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a market leading hospitality operator as part of the Facilities and Maintenance Team.

As their Head of Facilities & Maintenance you will lead a national team of circa 30 people (including regional maintenance engineers and the support centre at HQ) to manage reactive maintenance, planned maintenance, compliance and small CAPEX works to ensure that operations run as smoothly and effectively as possible, allowing a premium service and experience for customers across sites.

Key Responsibilities – Head of Facilities & Maintenance

  • Lead on the management of Facilities and maintenance across all sites
  • Lead and organise the running and development of the maintenance team within established procedures and policies
  • Ensure all H&S audit action points are fully resolved according to the timescales given
  • Direct and manage team members to quickly respond and carry out repairs to faulty or damaged building elements, finishes, fixtures and fittings, mechanical & electrical systems
  • Encourage the delivery of an excellent customer service culture, promoting a hands-on approach at all times
  • Inspect sites regularly to ensure they meet safety and compliance standards
  • Arrange for the routine maintenance of forecourts, retail sites, internal and external public areas, kitchens, janitorial services and other areas as required
  • Comply with all statutory health and safety requirements
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures
  • Coordinate with regularly with relevant authorities and agencies and as requires in case of emergencies or disasters
  • Find ways to reduce operating costs and conserve energy
  • Work within SLAs with external providers
  • Maintain all plant equipment, including generators, boilers, air conditioning systems
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and accessit register
  • Develop and deliver the facilities and maintenance budget
  • Monitor expenses, negotiate contracts, and seek cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management team and board of directors
  • Manage relationships with all sub-contractors across the business
  • Provide guidance, performance evaluations, and ongoing training to ensure a skilled and motivated team

Key skills/experience

  • You should have significant experience in a facilities and maintenance management role, ideally within a customer facing and multi-site environment (retail, hospitality or leisure)
  • Relevant qualifications for facilities and maintenance
  • Experience of safe systems of work, health & safety processes and online portals and water safety (particularly legionella safety)
  • Significant facilities and maintenance repairs experience with proven practical working knowledge and experience of a range of building trades and an in-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Knowledge of building systems, codes, and regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Budgeting and financial management expertise
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Structural Engineer / Dratfsman

McGinley Support Services are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer / Draftsman, with excellent mathematical; IT and analytical skills, for a permanent position based in High Wycombe.

The Structural Engineer will provide structural duties to a number of projects. Will establish the level and survey control for contracts and set out detailed works per the contract drawings, ensuring that checks are made regularly.

Responsibilities:

* Prepare report, designs and drawings

* Make calculations about pressures, loads and stresses

* Ensure that all drawings and work instructions are kept up to date

* Administer contracts and manage projects

* Consider the strengh of construction materials and select appropriately

* Analyse configurations of the basic components of a structure

* Ensure the quality of products and services is maintained and make improvements to the processes where necessary

* Carry out regular programme monitoring

Requirements (Essential):

* Degree in Structural Engineering

* Bachelor of science in Engineering or Architecture

* 3-4+ years experience as a Structural Engineer / Draftsman

* Expert in project management

* Proficient in the use of AtuoCAD and MS Office

* Ability to produce clear and informative production drawings and technical information

* Ability to liaise with professionals from other disciplines

* Able to work under [ressure and meet tight dealines

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

* SMSTS

* CSCS Card

* Cable avoidance training

* First aid training

* NEBOSH or IOSH
