Salary: A competitive salary + £9000 per annum company car or allowance plus excellent L2
Kier Utilities have a new opportunity for a Head of Business Excellence to join the team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day aspects of developing and delivering the business excellence programme for the Kier Utilities business, aligned with best practices from across the Kier Group. The role will provide support and leadership to the Kier Utilities business, in developing and running the programme as well as reporting progress to the Kier Utilities Board.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a Strategic project plan, including key milestones and a critical path where necessary.
- Develop and maintain a Strategic plan around Performance Excellence and drive across the business to ensure compliance with group minimum standards
- Develop and maintain a PMO framework to manage identified workstreams and improvement projects.
- Act as the coordinator of the high-level Business Excellence Steering Group, managing RAID (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions) logs etc.
- Act as the focal point for monthly progress reports on key tasks and actions involved in the Business Excellence programme.
- Work with cross-functional peers to align and improve across the organisation.
- Act as an ambassador for Quality and Continuous improvement across the business.
What do we need from you?
To be successful in the role you will have experience in:
- Working closely with senior executives to solve challenging business problems; Ability to credibly and compellingly present and debate recommendations with senior leadership
- Decomposing and solving real-world business problems and building/using advanced Excel models
- Building coalitions to execute and deliver objectives
- Working across the entire product value stream
- Continuous improvement and lean methodology and practice
