Flexible Working Commercial Lawyers
Ortolan Legal is a very different law firm. We provide our clients with ‘virtual’ legal support and this is delivered exclusively by experienced solicitors. We aim to give highly commercial and technically strong advice and we do this at a cost which compares extremely favourably with other, more conventional legal practices. SRA authorised and registered, from a standing start in late 2009 we have grown strongly and our client base includes businesses ranging from FTSE 100 household names and multinational businesses to proprietor managed companies in sectors as diverse as FMCG, professional services, rail, logistics, manufacturing and high tech.
Our lawyers have always worked remotely and are supported by all the technology and resources they need to provide an excellent service. We are collegiate in the way we manage our business and we aim to put everyone in a position not only to achieve a great deal of job satisfaction, but also to really enjoy working with us.
We want to supplement our team and are looking for lawyers (solicitors or barristers) who would like work with a business like ours on an as-needed contract basis. We would expect successful candidates to have excellent academic and work credentials and at least 10 years PQE. Equally importantly, you will need to be a good fit with our team; so as well as being charismatic and personable, you will also be highly motivated, client focused and will have a demonstrably commercial approach with plenty of initiative.
We are interested in specialists in all legal disciplines but are particularly interested in applicants who have a good understanding of Corporate/Commercial law.
We are looking for lawyers who would enjoy the flexibility of supporting us and our clients on an as-needed basis, but who do not necessarily want to make a full-time commitment. You may already be providing your services to other businesses and you do not need to have a client following, but if you did bring new clients into our business, you would be rewarded for that. We have an established compensation structure which works well and which we will be happy to discuss with candidates.
