The purpose of this role is to develop and implement an Early careers strategy, ensuring Gleeson is well placed to attract and develop early careers talent through talent acquisition and development frameworks across the whole business in operational, commercial and specialist roles.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with managers and teams across Gleeson to understand their business areas and needs so you can identify suitable opportunities and build early talent strategies and build future capability.
  • Manage our early career events (e.g. school, college and campus events) including the design and planning of internal events, aimed at attracting prospective early career talent and building the Gleeson brand.
  • Drive, develop, design consistent and fair assessment and selection processes (online application form, video interviews and assessment centres).
  • Define and manage the full life cycle of apprenticeships including sourcing training providers, reconciling Levy spend and claiming relevant grants.
  • Support early careers candidates, review and monitor learner progression aligned to their apprentice standard and Gleeson specific Training records with on-going feedback, mentoring, coaching and development opportunities.
  • Provide regular feedback to learners, line managers, business leaders and local HR teams on the progression and performance of their learners. Identifying strengths and development opportunities for each learner.
  • Manage the budget for graduate and apprenticeship programmes working with Head of OD and finance to forecast.
  • Design, develop and manage induction development interventions so apprentices are “work ready”, gain a broad understanding of their immediate function, the wider business and build an apprenticeship community.
  • Design a blended programme of Gleeson development initiatives that complement the professional qualification and support the apprentices in achieving their career ambitions.
  • Ensure apprenticeship managers gain the relevant training so they can support the success of their direct report(s) and maintain regular 2-way dialogue with line managers to ensure programme operates effectively.
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to build attraction campaigns and assessment approaches.
  • Source and collaborate with suppliers where necessary, managing them to a high standard and quality.
  • Support promotion, recruitment and celebration events associated with early careers and apprenticeship programmes along with learners.
  • Communicate success stories internally and externally to enhance our employer brand.

  • A good understanding of academic and vocational qualifications, delivery and assessment approaches.
  • At ease monitoring, tracking and supporting multiple learners across multiple programmes.
  • A full UK driving license coupled with flexibility and willingness to travel to multiple JLR Gleeson sites.

Working Civil Supervisor required for holiday cover on a new build housing site in Choppington

  • Cover required Monday 20th May – Friday 24th May
  • Rate is negotiable – we pay CIS, Umbrella or PAYE
  • Role is oversee and work with 6 operatives / groundworkers covering various aspects of groundworks.
  • Work is based on site, basic paperwork duties required
  • Requires SSSTS / SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid

Role will include:

  • Liaising with both site management, engineer and trades operatives
  • Allocating daily responsibilities within the team and coordinating
  • Reading and working with drawings
  • Ensuring the safety of yourself and others
  • Supervision of trades workers whilst also carrying out groundworks duties
  • Ordering materials
  • Completing relevant paperwork

Clear Engineering are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager within the Internal Construction/Fit Out sector to work on a 12 month Freelance/Self Employed Contract in Berlin. This will be working on a project that will be converting office space into a Data Center.

To be successful :

  • Ideally, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience within the role
  • Previous experience working on major office fit out projects
  • Ideally, the right person would have experience within the mission critical/data center space but this is not essential
  • Be able to manage & oversee all contractors on site
  • Strong experience within obtaining permits, safety inductions, toolbox talks etc
  • Must be fluent in both German and English
