Plantexpand are an established, rapidly growing vehicle and plant maintenance company, serving national companies to efficiently maintain their asset fleets through a network of mobile plant engineers.

Our engineers work from bespoke vans, specially equipped for servicing and compliance. You’ll work on a wide range of assignments from hydraulic system repairs and compliance checks, to ad hoc repairs – welfare units, trailers, mobile generators and everything in between.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Transport Managers, Yard Supervisors and Depot Heads to provide required visits to the depots to undertake ad hoc repairs to mobile and handheld plant.
  • Undertaking servicing for the vehicles across the fleet / depots as per manufacturers recommendation.
  • Providing regular servicing and maintenance on all plant located at the main depots to prevent excessive downtime through unit failure.
  • Undertaking running repairs.
  • Inspection and repairs as required or instructed.
  • Managing your own supply and stock holding of general consumable items and fast-moving parts.
  • Ordering parts required for specific repairs and ensure any and all warranty items are identified.
  • Providing accurate and timely service reports to the admin team detailing assets repaired and serviced.
  • Keeping paper records of work undertaken on vehicle and assets to ensure that any warranty item failures are identifiable and able to be claimed.
  • Undertake Vehicle Condition Reports on behalf of the Transport Director.
  • Providing detailed reports to the Transport Director.
  • Managing H & S, Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments & Safety Data Sheets.

What we are looking for:

  • Plant & Vehicle Fitting experience is essential.
  • A valid Driving Licence.
  • Work experience gained in a similar role, ideally experience gained in a mobile role.
  • A team player.
  • A flexible approach.

Other information:

General Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 0700 hrs to 1630 hrs although at times, you may be required to work outside of these hours to meet the requirements of the depot you are supporting.
