Protocol is working with a further education college in Northamptonshire in the recruitment to the full time permanent position of MIS manager.

The post holder will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely learner data that optimises funding opportunities and success rates, and ensure timely submission of funding returns. You will support a range of senior and middle management stakeholders and provide advice on curriculum structures to ensure the College delivers programmes which optimise performance.

Role responsibilities
To ensure all data return deadlines are met and comply with funding rules and inspection requirements (including monthly ILR returns, HEIFES, other SFA/EFA in-year returns) and that ILR data is timely and accurate.

To be the lead contact with ILR auditors and ensure effective management controls (including DSATs) are applied and evidence is available to ensure audit compliance with EFA, SFA and HEFCE funding rules/guidance.

To develop and maintain effective data exchange and validation processes to improve data management and control, including UNITe student data, registers, timetabling, examinations and the interrelationships.

The person & qualifications
Thorough working knowledge of Unit-E (desirable)
Previous experience of working in the FE sector
Previous experience of submitting a range of funding returns to SFA, EFA, etc
Experience of managing a team
Experience of working with external consultants
Experience of working with confidential information
Comprehensive experience of conducting data audits
Up to date knowledge of the FE/HE financial climate
Proven ability to interrogate and manipulate data to drive and support continuous improvement
Experience of presenting sometimes complex information to a range of stakeholders
