Notus Heavy Lift Solutions are currently recruiting Lifting Engineers and AutoCAD proficient Appointed Persons to join our team. The successful candidates with be supporting multiple projects across the UK.

The successful candidates must have proven experience in the lifting industry, in-depth experience in planning and managing complex lifting operations using CAD, and be conversant in both crane and rigging/fleeting operations.

The main duties of the role are as follows (full details on request/application): –

Responsible for:

  • Safe planning, management, and execution of Lifting Operations
  • Conduct / analyse load and environmental conditions to assess the best lifting solutions
  • Conduct detailed and thorough risk assessments for all elements of lifting operations
  • Compile safe systems of work by writing high quality lift plans, which include method statements, risk assessments, and detailed slinging/rigging arrangement drawings
  • Producing scale slinging/rigging arrangement drawings in AutoCAD to a high standard
  • Conduct lifting related audits and support our client/contractor in actioning improvements
  • Drive the Notus Heavy Lift Solutions safety culture – lead, encourage, document and monitor subcontractor, supplier, and site team regime of the safety audit, inspection, and progress meetings to drive and continually improving safety culture.
  • Collate, communicate, and improve site safety performance to encourage an open and continually improving safety culture
  • Represent Notus Heavy Lift Solutions in a professional and positive manner at all times in order to reduce the risks associated with commercial and product liabilities
  • Maintain detailed site logs and records of all project activity in support of the effective execution of the project contract
  • Delegating duties but not responsibilities to the Lift Supervisors. Ensure that the Lift Supervisors are fully briefed on all aspects of the Lift Plan and SSOW
  • Know requirements of legislation, regulations and codes of practice that relate to all types of lifting duties (including basic, intermediate, and complex as defined by BS7121, LOLER, PUWER)
  • Calculate weights, C.O.G’s, sling tension and angles
  • Calculate lifting equipment point loadings and spreader mat types and sizes from given information

Working Civil Supervisor required for holiday cover on a new build housing site in Choppington

  • Cover required Monday 20th May – Friday 24th May
  • Rate is negotiable – we pay CIS, Umbrella or PAYE
  • Role is oversee and work with 6 operatives / groundworkers covering various aspects of groundworks.
  • Work is based on site, basic paperwork duties required
  • Requires SSSTS / SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid

Role will include:

  • Liaising with both site management, engineer and trades operatives
  • Allocating daily responsibilities within the team and coordinating
  • Reading and working with drawings
  • Ensuring the safety of yourself and others
  • Supervision of trades workers whilst also carrying out groundworks duties
  • Ordering materials
  • Completing relevant paperwork

Clear Engineering are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager within the Internal Construction/Fit Out sector to work on a 12 month Freelance/Self Employed Contract in Berlin. This will be working on a project that will be converting office space into a Data Center.

To be successful :

  • Ideally, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience within the role
  • Previous experience working on major office fit out projects
  • Ideally, the right person would have experience within the mission critical/data center space but this is not essential
  • Be able to manage & oversee all contractors on site
  • Strong experience within obtaining permits, safety inductions, toolbox talks etc
  • Must be fluent in both German and English
