Gleeson are exclusively recruiting a Finance Director for an established SME who are experiencing significant growth and have some very exiting plans.

Our client are a city centre based service company with a current turnover of £15m with forecast to double in the next 2 years.

Working closely with the MD, this role will be focused on delivering to a growth agenda as this business looks to further it’s current success.

We are looking for an ambitious, hands-on finance professional with real potential who will likely see this role as a first step towards a long-term Board career. You may have already operated as an FD or looking for your first opportunity. At some point, there will be an exit scenario and this individual will be pivotal in the transaction. As a result my client will be putting an equity scheme in place for this individual.

The finance director will report directly into the board and have full exposure to the operational, performance and strategic goals.

Managing a small finance team its likely that the Finance Director will be qualified (ACA, CIMA or ACCA).

This is very much a strategic finance role where problem solving, planning and an eye for spotting opportunities is key.

My client has a global customer base and as such it would be beneficial that the Finance Director has experience of multi territory operations.

The business currently operates a hybrid working model.

Are you currently looking for an installation technician/fitter position? A client of mine is currently looking for an installation fitter to join their team. They are committed to ensuring efficient warehouse operations and delivering exceptional customer service. As a member of the team, you’ll play a vital role in receiving, scheduling, and delivering goods while overseeing warehouse facilities to maintain smooth operations. The salary on offer is up to £27,000 per year working 42.5 hours per week.

What Does the Role Entail?

Your responsibilities will encompass various tasks essential to warehouse management. You’ll be involved in fitting activities, such as installing, moving, or repairing products as directed by the team. This involves coordinating with clients throughout the installation process, ensuring product quality, and safely disposing of waste. Additionally, you’ll handle driving duties, confirming schedules, loading, and delivering products to customers while adhering to road safety regulations. In the warehouse, you’ll be responsible for loading and unloading deliveries sorting and storing stock and managing inventory.

What Skills Will You Have?

For the installation fitter position the client is currently seeking candidates who ideally has previous experience as a fitter or as a crafts person. Alongside that, excellent communication and customer service abilities are advantageous as you will be communicating with the client and operations directors to make sure everything is to a high standard. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety are essential attributes for success in this role. Adaptability and flexibility are also key, as the warehouse environment can be fast-paced and dynamic. A valid driving license and adherence to road safety regulations are necessary for driving duties.

Project Planner

Working for a main contractor’s water division, developing and leading work programmes based on the new AMP8 projects.

Location: – Cardiff

Salary: – £60,000 – £65,000 basic + Car + Package

Role Description:

The Resolute Group are working in partnership with one of the key delivery partners for Welsh Water, delivering a 5-year framework for the upgrades to the water network. Looking for additional Planning support to help create and deliver the programmes via P6.

As a Project Planner, you report directly to the Contract Manager and ensure that individual project programmes are developed, maintained and reported in line with clients’ requirements. You will be responsible for collating and reporting activity data to support the commercial team, as well as key performance data for quality management purposes.

This is a perfect role for a P6 Planner in the infrastructure sector looking for stability and development over the next 5 years in the South Wales region.

Day to Day duties will vary but could include:

  • Develop strong working relationships with clients, consultants, sub-contractors and Internal stakeholders.
  • Take responsibility for coordinating all third-party constraints, design, procurement and construction information into the programme
  • Make project team members at all relevant levels aware of programme risks, key issues and solutions in a proactive manner.
  • Experience of working on Primavera P6 and the Microsoft Office suite
  • Able to facilitate and lead on the development of schedules with stakeholders at all levels
  • Effective communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-functional team.

Working on a hybrid basis, with flexible working hours as long as the project outputs are achieved. The schedule is designed around dropping the kids at school, picking them up at home, or attending appointments such as the dentist. Typically, you work 2-3 days at home and 2-3 days in the office.

Qualifications:

  • Experience on site is key developing up from a Site Engineer into Planning is the preferred background. Understanding the drawings and technical specifications makes a more efficient programme of work.
  • Engineering Qualification can be HNC / HND or a degree in an Engineering-based subject.
  • Knowledge of P6 software.
