JOB DESCRIPTION:

My client who are an exciting Facilities Management company are looking for a Fabric Engineer with fire door experience in Stockport on a mobile basis to work across multiple sites in the local area. They are looking for an experienced operative who has ideally worked in a previous Facilities Management role. This is a great opportunity with the opportunity to progress.

This role is a permanent role working 40 hours a week 8am – 430pm Monday to Friday. Overtime and on call also available.

Daily responsibilities will include:

At least 3 years’ experience in a maintenance role (desirable)

To undertake planned, responsive, and cyclical maintenance work

Undertaking service repair of windows, doors, plumbing systems, general building fabric and internal fixtures and fittings

Good knowledge of building maintenance

Joinery qualifications/experience

Fire Door experience

Requirements for the role

Previous experience

Positive attitude

Driving license

On offer is a general salary from £30,000 – £34,000 dependant on experience.

We are looking for a Facilities Mechanical Engineer to undertake the following duties on a day-to-day basis:

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance support (Including Installation, planned, preventive and reactive maintenance) in relation to site services, plant/equipment.
  • AHU, FCU and mechanical servicing/maintenance, to include pump seals, bearings and alignment.
  • Form part of the on-call rota within the Maintenance Team.
  • Seasonal shift pattern (some weekends/evenings)
  • Prioritisation of work programme to satisfy business needs.
  • Ensure maintenance standards and quality of work delivered are to the required level.
  • Fault finding, diagnosis and repairs.
  • Oversee the conduct of contractors on site, monitoring the implementation and performance of tasks allocated.
  • Deliver specialist technical support and services in relation to building plant/equipment.
  • Ensure robust application of health, safety and environmental procedures and processes.
  • Ensure a professional approach is always delivered with particular emphasis on maintaining confidentiality.
  • Provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence.
  • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Any other duties as and when required.

Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Abilities

  • Engineering/Technical qualification (Apprenticeship or NVQ level 3 in a relevant discipline i.e. mechanical/plumbing/HVAC
  • AHU, FCU and mechanical servicing/maintenance, to include pump seals, bearings and alignment.
  • The candidate should be able to write reports/jobs sheets either manually or electronically
  • Experience in Building Services
  • Good knowledge and level of competency in other areas of building services (BMS, Electrical)
  • Full clean driving licence
