Position: Design Manager – Architectural

Location: Monaghan

Salary: Negotiable DOE

Responsibilities

  • Design Lead
  • Representing the Design Team at Management & Operation Meetings
  • Co-ordinate, oversee and support all design activities – ensuring that Team Members work efficiently and have clear and achievable targets
  • Form a central hub between the client, internal and external design teams to lead and ensure that design briefs reach conclusion as efficiently as possible
  • Manage and coordinate the development of bespoke and off-the-shelf designs and specifications with the assistance from other members of the design team
  • Ensure that all designs achieve compliance of current building regulations and other statutory requirements
  • Post client design approval, facilitate a clear handover to the production team including working drawings and specification of finishes
  • Remain involved during production and installation process as required to ensure the successful delivery of all projects
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of the building system and product options
  • Contribute to the immediate and ongoing development of the building system in various areas as required and taking into account internal and external needs
  • The Design Manager is the technical point of contact for Architects, Engineers, Builders and End-users, you will deal directly with (or delegate) to ensure queries are effectively dealt with
  • Manage the catalogue of details for both internal and external use ensuring it remains concurrent with production methods and building regulations
  • Technical support as required to filtered sales prospects and any related advising parties
  • Manage and present designs (off-the-shelf and bespoke) to end-users, architects, engineers, developers and building contractors
  • Occasionally participate in Sales & Marketing Activities

Qualifications/Experience

  • Essential
  • A Bachelor Degree or equivalent in related subject (e.g. Architecture, Engineering or Construction)
  • Track record in the successful delivery of construction projects in Ireland
  • Strong Organisational, Project Management and IT Skills
  • A keen eye for detail and effective Communication skills
  • Experience in Construction Detailing (2D or 3D)
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Desirable
  • Experience in leading a team of Architects, Designers and/or Engineers providing mentorship, setting expectations and ensuring project delivery
  • Experience in REVIT
  • Experience in Modular or Precast Concrete Construction
