Construction Graduate Opportunity

New opportunity for a graduate with a Construction Development Consultancy in the West Midlands either within Project Management or Quantity Surveying.

This firm has had a very busy year despite the adversity that 2020 has brought. They are set to have a highly successful 2021 and beyond and can offer really strong experience and training to the successful candidate. This leading Development Consultant provides specialist support to development led infrastructure on a number of large developments across the Uk. They have a successful working relationship with clients such as Land Owners and Developers to whom they provide a multi-disciplinary service.

Within either Construction Project Management or Quantity Surveying a relevant qualification at degree level is required being ideally either Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management or Construction Project Management graduating recently or this summer. As our client is equally strong and equally busy in both Quantity Surveying or Project Management we are able to consider either discipline but it is essential that you have a construction related degree as we are not able to consider applicants without this.

Any relevant industry experience would be an advantage but naturally the most important asset is your potential. We’re looking for ambitious and driven individuals looking to get their careers in construction off to a great start, and willing to work hard to achieve their goals. You must be able to drive and be already based within the West Midlands.

This is a great opportunity to join an exciting and innovative employer who values new talent.

Our client is looking for a vibrant Project Engineer with strong technical abilities, excellent project delivery skills and has experience of working with and mentoring apprentice engineers.

You’ll need to have a proven track record as an experienced BEMS Engineer and be able to demonstrate your extensive experience of writing control strategies, working on panel drawings and modifying panel wiring. You’ll have a thorough understanding of the relevant industry regulations and standards, and be certified in Distech, Tridium or Schneider BMS. With wide-ranging experience of leading a team of control engineers on site, you’ll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team. An SSSTS or equivalent H&S qualification would be beneficial in this role.

The work includes a wide variety of buildings structures projects, including large complex schemes up up to £200m, to small, local client schemes. Work is both UK and international with interested clients such as F1 Teams, motor manufacturers, schools/universities, contractors and developers.

UK experience in a design office working on buildings structures is essential for this role. Tekla, Blubeam and Revit knowledge would be beneficial.
