Summary

BMS project engineer for software engineering, commissioning and testing of BMS systems.

The BMS project engineer will work as part of a team of engineers in a lead capacity delivering exciting projects to national and multi- national clients. It requires diligence, attention to detail, good communication skills, strong HVAC, electrical and instrumentation knowledge, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of Cylon BMS
  • Knowledge of Siemens BMS (desirable but not essential)
  • Engineer BMS & QBMS Systems
  • Commission of BMS & QBMS Systems
  • Assume the lead technical role on BMS projects
  • Liaise with clients and consultants
  • Project cost control

Requirements

  • Electrical and Mechanical experience with HVAC and Plant room Equipment
  • Previous experience in BMS Engineering experience essential
  • ABB Cylon experience required
  • Programming experience and experience working with controls
  • Strong customer focus with experience in working with multiple clients
  • Strong communication skills and PC skills essential
  • Availability for call out on rotation
  • Occasional travel

UK experience in a design office working on buildings structures is essential for this role. Tekla, Blubeam and Revit knowledge would be beneficial.

They are looking for an experienced Roofing Inspector to oversee all pre and post inspections on roofing projects.

Duties:

  • Inspects construction projects to ensure structural and architectural components are in compliance with all building codes.

  • Provides assistance and verifies alternate methods of construction to meet the intent of each related code.
  • Provides assistance to architects, engineers, and contractors concerning structural and architectural issues and designs.
  • Reviews assigned construction plans and engineering calculations for structural and architectural components to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and recommend method of compliance to meet the intent of each related item.
  • Reviews all relevant building and energy codes. Provides interpretation and recommendations to ensure compliance with the intent of each code.
  • Interprets and applies standards and regulations including ICC and RBC.
  • Documents results of inspections.
  • Effectively communicates findings to homeowners and contractors.
  • Coordinates with and assists other field inspectors. Picks up extra inspections as needed.
  • Explains and clarifies code related problems with contractor field personnel.
  • Communicates and upholds standards consistently.
  • Conducts building damage assessment inspections.

Key Knowledge:

  • Previous Social Housing roofing management experience required
  • Previous experience supervising working from heights / roofing projects
  • Experience working on reactive repairs, voids, or planned works projects
  • IT Literate

JOB TITLE: PROJECTS SALES ENGINEER

Projects Sales Engineer – Key Responsibilities:

* Receive and coordinate the appraisal/tendering of enquiries relating to potential after-sales business and pursuing potential orders by the progressing of outstanding tenders; by telephone, correspondence and/or site visits.
* When necessary, coordinate the orderly, effective and profitable completion of resultant orders in accordance with standing procedures and guidance documents; by anticipation, intervention and communication as required, until completed, invoiced and paid.
* Monitoring the supply of equipment and Works manufactured items to meet the specified time scales.
* Appointing and monitoring site sub-contract labour to ensure installation requirements are achieved.
* Maintaining adequate records of activity to provide sales analysis data when required.
* To provide general technical assistance and administrative support to the Service Projects Engineer, Field Service Manager and Service Division Manager.

Projects Sales Engineer – Interface with other departments:

* With all departments but with particular consideration to liaising with our Sales Engineers involved with the sales of new product.

Projects Sales Engineer – Ideal Qualifications

* BTECH/C&G/ONC/HNC/Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (or similar discipline) and/or good related experience in a comparable engineering environment.
* Must hold a Full Car Driving Licence

Projects Sales Engineer – Experience

* Experience is sought from within the plant and process engineering field or related equipment.
* Ideal experience would be from within the mechanical contracting services sector, with specific reference to steam or process heating applications.
* A flexible attitude to the role and a willingness to travel extensively within the UK is essential.

Projects Sales Engineer – Communication Skills

* The ability to work within a team environment and to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels within the Company structure and with our customers and suppliers; using concise reports, quotations and correspondence etc… as required.

General

* Must be able to work and manage time effectively without close supervision to achieve set objectives.
