A CSCS Cleaner is required for construction company that specialises in the redevelopments of high end residential houses. Our client is looking for a hardworking CSCS Cleaner that has experience in Construction Cleaning. The project is based in St Johns Wood.

Daily responsibilities of CSCS Cleaner are:

  • Cleaning the floors
  • Cleaning around windows
  • Mopping
  • Sweeping rubbish

The CSCS Cleaning contract is ongoing for a few weeks, with working hours between 8:00am – 5:00pm

Requirements of a CSCS Cleaner are:

  • CSCS Card
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Experience
  • Hardworking

Maintenance Operative/Handyman

Dutton Recruitment are seeiking a Maintenance Operative/Handyman for a role based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.

The post holder will ensure the security, safety, cleanliness, maintenance and repair within operational policy and procedures within the service. A DBS is required to qualify for the role.

Key Duties/Areas of Responsibility

  • Carry out general building and premises maintenance this to include minor repair work
  • Make sure outside areas of the premises, parking areas, pathways and shrubbery are free from litter and are kept clean and tidy.
  • Undertake some gardening maintenance.
  • Undertake a range of Domestic Cleaning, this to include, high level cleaning, cleaning of equipment, shampooing carpets, hard surface floor cleaning and polishing.
  • Liaise with and direct trades people (Council and Contractor) when they are carrying out repairs.
  • Maintain effective repairs schedule and information.
  • Order supplies through support staff and receive goods, store and distribution throughout premises. Ensure supplies are maintained to correct stock levels.
  • Carry out checks on various equipment including fire alarm testing and security of building
  • Spread grit and clear snow during winter months.
  • Liaise with Building Manager EDS

Group Health, Safety, Security & Environment Manager

Allen & York are delighted to be working with a specialist construction company who work in Africa on projects to support local communities with full turnkey projects where they design, build, finance and manage social projects.

Based out of Johannesburg the company work across various countries in Africa including Zambia, Zimbabwe, Ghana and Ivory Coast amongst others. Many of the projects are working in rural areas on projects in sectors such as health care, agriculture, education, and housing.

This role is responsible for overseeing and promoting a culture of safety, security and environmental across the business and will be responsible for several key functions including regular visits to sites on a scheduled basis as well as ad-hoc as required to ensure compliance and that standards and improvements are being met.

The role will be responsible for Health and Safety standards across the company and will work with key stakeholders across the business, including the UK, providing regular reports and updates on statistics and monthly plans and progress. In addition, the role will work to look at proactive measures for improvement as well as providing a focal point of contact for any actions or incidents as required.

The role will also take on responsibility for Security and Environmental issues and will be required to be aware of alerts where security threats could affect staff or contractors.

The role is based out of the Johannesburg office. Candidates can either be based in Johannesburg currently or the company can support UK citizens to relocate to the region.

Candidates should have extensive knowledge of construction working in remote locations, ideally Africa but other emerging markets will be considered. Strong project management skills are required as well as a track record of working with a mixed nationality workforce.

Experience of conducting training and mentoring personnel is necessary as will travel across the region and occasionally to the UK.
Appropriate levels of qualification are required for this role proportionate to the level and requirements for a challenging and exciting opportunity.
