Role:
As an Associate Director Civil Engineer you will be offered the chance to lead on development related infrastructure projects, overseeing the production of technically sound engineering solutions. This will involve civil infrastructure elements including utilities, paved and unpaved surfaces, earthworks, access and accessibilities. In addition to this, you will:

  • Work collaboratively as part of the Senior Leadership Team to deliver initiatives aimed at improving the technical and professional ability of team members.
  • Support bids, fee proposals or offers of service; development of activity schedules/work plans.
  • Contribute to and develop technical knowledge networks.
  • Undertake project related tasks associated with health, safety and welfare, e.g. Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified with a civil engineering background with Chartered membership of a recognised professional institution or equivalent.
  • Experienced in supporting and managing clients in the development infrastructure sector.
  • A technical understanding in the design of utilities, paved and unpaved surfaces, earthworks, access and accessibility, construction logistics, and familiarity with current UK design standards and working practices.
  • A proven ability to effectively manage projects.
  • Ability and desire to lead on Health and Safety practises.
  • Experienced in managing and applying technical governance and integrity within a consulting engineering environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Maintenance Assistant required for a large maintenance company that specialises in commercial maintenance. Our client is looking for experienced and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to join the team in Cheadle.

This role will be a long term ongoing contract with the view to going permanent, 40 hours a week 8am – 4:30pm. Monday-Friday.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical plumbing background. Further training and qualifications are potentially available for suitable candidates.

Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Basic maintenance repairs
  • Assisting skilled tradesmen
  • Flushing taps
  • Checking temperatures
  • Undertake general labouring duties as directed by the supervisor
  • General maintenance duties around the site
