The ideal candidate will carry out highways maintenance duties as instructed. Including winter maintenance when appropriate. Respond promptly to incidents on the network as instructed, work in close co-operation with team members and subcontractors, contributing to the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment for both the network users and work team by ensuring compliance all H&S procedures Contribute to the promotion of customer care by working closely with team members to ensure client and network users are dealt with in a polite and courteous manner. When trained to do so operate a variety of plant and equipment in order to carry out required duties effectively. Ensuring that site and company equipment is always secure. Carry out daily defect reports on vehicles and ensure vehicles are maintained in good order.
What do we need from you to be successful in this role?
- 12ab Lantra traffic management trained
- Basic Lantra VRS qualification
- LGV driving licence group “C” minimum.
- Asset management awareness – Operational level required
- Experience and knowledge of strict health & safety operations and its practical implications
- Valid CSCS card
