Semi-Skilled Labourer – Callerton

Our client is looking for an experienced labourer to join a project in Callerton.

Will be pre-boarding, painting & siliconing on a new build home site.

The contract is ongoing, with hours being 8am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting with general labouring work
  • Painting, snagging, patching
  • Ad hoc assisting of work on site

Requirements for the Role:

  • a valid CSCS card
  • Own PPE – high viz vest, safety glasses, hard hat and steel capped boots

Civils Installation Team

We are seeking a skilled Civils Installation Team to join McGinley for a 1-month contract in Stratford. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of civil engineering components essential for the safe and efficient operation of the railway network.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of railway civil engineering structures such as track beds, platforms, bridges, and tunnels.
Work collaboratively with the project team to ensure adherence to project schedules and specifications.
Operate machinery and equipment safely and effectively, including but not limited to excavators, concrete mixers, and hand tools.
Perform site inspections and assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Assist in the preparation of work sites, including excavation, leveling, and backfilling activities.
Support the implementation of quality control measures to ensure the integrity and longevity of civil engineering structures.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other stakeholders to provide progress updates and address any issues or concerns.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines at all times, particularly with regard to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience in civil engineering or construction, preferably within the railway industry.
Knowledge of railway infrastructure systems and components.
Proficiency in operating construction machinery and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The Civils Team Leader must have experience of reading AFC Civils Designs.

Are you looking for a step up or just a change of scenery? This forward thinking, sustainable consultancy is looking for an Associate Director to take a leading role within the Hydrogeology/EIA team, due to significant growth throughout Ireland. The successful candidates will ideally have experience of Irish or overseas markets, working on renewable energy projects such as wind and solar farms with input at a senior level. Other projects include contaminated land projects, thermal generation projects and EPA licensed sites.

The role

You will be expected to.

  • Provide Managerial and technical leadership of the Hydrogeology and EIA team
  • Take a lead in technical report writing for the team and checking more junior team members technical output
  • Developing the technical skills of junior and mid-level team members
  • Recruitment, and business development input to the Ops Director/Managing Director
  • The design and reviewing of EIA Chapters for relevant hydrogeology chapters and input support on hydrology, contaminated land, geology and soils projects
  • Manging tender requests
  • Designing site investigation and field works

Requirements

  • A relevant science based/environmental degree, ideally with a post graduate Hydrogeology or EIA qualification
  • Management experience of running a team in hydrogeological services
  • Excellent report writing and technical content
  • Able to lead bids and manage ongoing projects
  • Must be computer literate in Word, Excell and Access
  • Ability to apply financial analyse
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Chartership and professional membership advantageous

Our client is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Consultant or Senior Ecologist, responsible for undertaking ecological surveys and managing projects and tasks. You will be joining a talented and dedicated team, with the ability to develop your career as the company grows.

You’ll need to hold a relevant science-based BSc or higher qualification and have solid experience of working in an ecological consultancy. With experience of planning and conducting ecological surveys (including Phase 1 habitat survey or UKHab and protected species surveys), you’ll have authored technical reports and ecological impact assessment reports. An excellent communicator, you’ll have a good understanding of wildlife legislation and the planning process, with experience of Biodiversity Net Gain. You will need a full UK driving licence and access to your own car as travel will be required.

Previous experience of working directly with clients and their extended teams, together with a good understanding of EIA and Habitats Regulations Assessment would be advantageous to this role.
